One day Photography Course Outline:

These courses are aimed at students who wish to further their knowledge of photography and how to use their camera.  and will cover aspects of photography such as functions/menu settings, Shutter/Aperture Priority, Manual Mode, Light Readings, White Balance, reading the Histogram, Exposure control and basic issues of picture construction, composition and lighting.  The student will need their own camera.  Ideally the camera will be a high end Compact camera (one that has Manual options) or bridge/hybrid or SLR/Mirrorless style camera.

All the photography will be outdoors, in and around South Queensferry, Edinburgh and we will meet at 10am in the Binks car park, down Rose Lane, (opposite the Police Station) West end of the town. There will be lunch/ coffee breaks, but the cost of these is not included.  Students can take packed lunches if they so wish.
Maximum numbers on the course will be 10 students, with a minimum number of 6 to run.
Days the course will run are variable and might be postponed at the last minute if the weather is considered to be too poor to run, however, generally speaking the courses will run unless you hear directly from John Glynn Photography to the contrary and students are expected to dress for the Scottish weather.

Parking is free at the Binks car park and Hawes Pier end of the town.  In the High Street you have to pay.

Available dates: Please note you will not know whether there is space available until you go to book.  This site is not updated in real time, so actual availability for each date will change quickly.

Please contact John Glynn direct for further possible dates.
